The Future of Sustainable Mobility
Created to meet the diverse needs of modern users, the Kia PBV Concept redefines what a commercial vehicle can be. By combining advanced EV technology with intelligent software systems, each PBV is built to adapt: offering a range of body profiles, layouts, and interiors to suit your business or lifestyle. From light commercial vehicles designed to open new opportunities to flexible people carriers that make every journey easier, Kia’s professional electric van range is set to revolutionise sustainable mobility for everyone.
Portable Storefront
Bring your business wherever it’s needed. The Kia PBV range gives you enough space to stand and work comfortably, while allowing you to configure a fully functional mobile storefront.
With Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, your van becomes a mobile power source. Perfect for lighting, digital displays, and other equipment on-site, so your business is ready to operate wherever you go.
Cargo Delivery
Designed for efficiency and safety, Kia PBV vehicles make daily deliveries simpler. A low step height reduces strain when loading and unloading, while advanced software tools help you plan routes and manage operations with ease. These features make the PBV range an ideal solution for electric cargo delivery.

Electric Cab / Ride-Hailing Concept
The PV5-R Concept is built for a comfortable, connected passenger experience. Its spacious interior and smart features provide a vision of future mobility, making it perfectly suited for use as an electric taxi or ride-hailing vehicle, keeping passengers comfortable and connected throughout every journey.
Production System
Construction of Kia’s PBV-dedicated Hwaseong EVO Plant began in 2023. This innovative facility combines a new cell production method with traditional conveyors and will introduce Dynamic Hybrid technology, allowing flexible production to meet diverse customer requirements.
How Kia PBV Will Evolve
Explore Kia’s plans to expand the PBV range, integrate advanced technologies, and create intelligent, flexible solutions that transform business and everyday travel.
Phase 1
The first Mid PBV, the Kia PV5, will be a fully electric van optimised for key business areas such as delivery, utilities, and ride-hailing. Its adaptable design allows for a variety of conversions to meet diverse customer needs. Enhanced data connectivity between vehicles and external systems, like route and delivery information, enables smooth operation of multiple vehicles as a software-defined fleet. This introduces customised business fleets and PBV-specific solutions, reducing downtime and increasing cost-efficiency.
Phase 2
Kia PBVs will evolve into intelligent, AI-based mobility platforms that use real-time data to interact with users and stay up-to-date. A complete PBV lineup will expand coverage to larger logistics companies, mobility businesses, and private lifestyle users. Real-time vehicle data will integrate with city management systems, enabling optimised fleet management and advanced mobility solutions. As connectivity expands, AI-driven vehicle control and management will provide a seamless, personalised experience across devices and software, while new business models linked to robotics and future technologies emerge.
Phase 3
In the final phase, Kia PBVs will become highly customisable mobility solutions, fully integrated into the future mobility ecosystem. Connected, self-driving vehicles will operate as part of a smart city network, seamlessly linking people, PBVs, and social infrastructure. Leveraging Hyundai Motor Group’s innovations in autonomous driving, advanced air mobility, robotics, and energy systems, Kia PBVs will support entirely new lifestyles and create a robust, hyper-connected PBV ecosystem, turning every idea into a practical reality.
