Kia PV5 Cargo sets Guinness World Record for longest distance on a single charge
The all-electric Kia PV5 Cargo has made global headlines after setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest distance travelled by an electric light commercial vehicle on a single charge.
Covering an outstanding 430.84 miles while carrying a full 665kg payload, the PV5 completed the challenge on public roads near Frankfurt in Germany. The test route included everyday driving conditions such as traffic lights, roundabouts and busy city roads, putting the van through a truly realistic test.
Over 22 hours of continuous driving, the PV5 proved both its endurance and efficiency, showing what’s possible for businesses looking to make the switch to electric.
This achievement highlights Kia’s ongoing innovation in electric mobility and demonstrates the real-world potential of its upcoming Professional Business Vehicle (PBV) range.
