• Can I test drive more than one car?

  Absolutely – that’s the whole point of the event.

  We encourage you to test drive multiple electric vehicles from a range of brands during your visit. This gives you the opportunity to compare different models back-to-back in one place, saving you time and helping you make a more informed decision without needing to visit multiple dealerships.

• Can I compare different brands in one visit?

  Yes – this is one of the main reasons we’re hosting the event.
  It’s designed specifically so you can compare multiple brands and models side-by-side in a single visit, saving you time and making it much easier to understand which electric vehicle is right for you.

• Which brands and vehicles will be available?
  • Volvo

  In total, there will be 20+ electric vehicles available to experience.

• Is the event suitable if I’m new to electric vehicles?

  Absolutely – this event is especially ideal if you’ve never driven an electric vehicle before.
  Whether you’re just starting to explore the idea or getting closer to making a decision, you’ll be able to learn, ask questions, and experience EVs in a straightforward, no-pressure environment.

• What if I’ve never driven an electric car before?

  That’s completely fine – many of our visitors will be in the same position.
  Before your test drive, you’ll be given a quick introduction so you feel comfortable and confident behind the wheel.

• Will there be any sales pressure on the day?

  No – the event is designed to be informative and relaxed.

  You’re free to explore, test drive, and ask questions at your own pace, without any obligation to make a decision.

• Is this a dealership event?

  The event is hosted by Holden Group, but it’s not taking place at a traditional dealership.
  Instead, it’s designed to give you a relaxed, neutral environment where you can explore and compare vehicles from multiple brands in one place – whilst learning how easy an EV is to charge.

• Will there be experts available to answer questions?

  Yes – EV experts will be on-site throughout the event to answer any questions you have. Whether it’s charging, range, running costs, or choosing between models, you’ll be able to get clear, practical advice.

• Can I ask questions about charging and running an EV?

  Absolutely.
  Our EV experts are on hand to explain everything from home charging and public networks to running costs, range, and day-to-day practicality – all in simple, straightforward terms.

• What happens when I arrive?

  When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by the team and checked in for your booking.

  You’ll then be guided through your scheduled test drives, with time in between to ask questions, explore other vehicles, and relax with refreshments.

• How long does each test drive last?

  Each booking is allocated a 1-hour time slot per vehicle.

  This includes approximately 30 minutes of driving time, followed by time to discuss the vehicle with on-site EV specialists, ask questions, and get a better understanding of how it fits your needs.

  If you choose to test drive multiple vehicles, your sessions will be scheduled across your visit to give you a relaxed, unhurried experience.

  We recommend booking multiple slots in advance if you’d like to compare several models on the day.

• Can I bring a passenger with me?

  Yes – you’re welcome to bring a guest along for your test drive.

  This can be helpful if you’d like a second opinion or simply want to share the experience.

• Can I speak to someone about finance or purchasing options?

  Yes – if you’re interested, the team can talk you through next steps, including purchase and finance options.

   

• Is there a cost to attend?

  No – the event is completely free to attend.
  All test drives are complimentary, and guests can also enjoy free Costa Coffee and cake during their visit.

• Do I need to book in advance?
  Booking in advance is strongly advised to avoid disappointment. Pre-booking helps us manage demand and ensure vehicles are available for test drives at your preferred time. While we’ll do our best to accommodate attendees on the day, availability cannot be guaranteed without a prior booking.
• When is the event happening?

  The event runs from 4th to 6th June 2026, with test drive slots available each day.

• What time are test drives available?

  Test drive appointments run daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with bookable time slots throughout the day.

• Where is the event taking place?

  The event is being held at the GRIDSERVE Norwich Charging Station, located on Maple Way, Norwich East Electric Forecourt, NR13 5HB.

• Is parking available on-site?

  Yes – there is parking available at the venue for event attendees.

• What should I bring with me?

  Please bring a valid UK driving licence, as this will be required before taking part in any test drives. We also recommend arriving a few minutes early for your scheduled slot.
