• Can I sell my car if I have existing finance? 

  Yes. If your vehicle has outstanding finance, we’ll liaise directly with your finance provider to settle the balance. If there’s any remaining value after settlement, we’ll pay this directly to you.

• What if my finance settlement is higher than the value of my car?

  Our team can explain your options and help you understand any balance that may remain payable to your finance provider.

• When should I expect to receive my valuation? 

  In most cases, you’ll receive your valuation the same day, either after your vehicle inspection or once we’ve reviewed the details and photos submitted through our online valuation form. Requests submitted at weekends may take a little longer, but we’ll aim to contact you no later than the next working day.

• How soon will I get the money? 

  For eligible weekday valuations completed before 4.30pm, payment can be made the same day.*

• What's involved in the process? 

  We’ll inspect your vehicle and verify its condition and mileage, either remotely using the information and photos you’ve provided or through an in-person appraisal. Once we’ve completed our assessment, we’ll provide you with a guaranteed fixed-price valuation. If you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll take care of all the paperwork for you.

• What documents do I need to provide? 

  To help complete the sale, you may be asked to provide:

  • Vehicle registration document (V5C)
  • Valid photo ID
  • Proof of address
  • Service history (if available)
  • Spare keys (if available)
  • Finance details (if applicable)
• What do I need to do? 

  Simply book your valuation, bring your vehicle along, and we’ll do the rest. If you’re using our remote valuation service, we’ll ask you to provide a few photographs of your vehicle.

• Where can I get my car valued? 

  You can visit any Holden dealership across Norfolk and Suffolk or request a remote valuation online.

• Do I need to prepare the car in any way? E.g. Clean the car, scuffs, damage

  There’s no need for professional valeting, but giving your vehicle a quick clean and ensuring any damage is clearly visible will help us provide an accurate valuation.

• Do I need to buy a car from Holden Group if I sell mine?

  Not at all. We’re happy to buy your vehicle even if you’re not purchasing another car from us.

• Can you collect my vehicle?

  Yes. We offer home collection within a 40-mile radius of a Holden Group location.*

• Why do you need photos?

  Photos help us assess your vehicle’s condition and provide a fair, accurate valuation without requiring an initial visit.

• Is the valuation free?

  Yes. Our valuation service is completely free and comes with no obligation to sell.

• What if my vehicle has some damage?

  That’s absolutely fine. Please include clear photos of any damage or areas of concern so we can provide the most accurate valuation possible.

• Do you take any car? 

  We consider most makes and models, whether you’re selling your car outright or using it as a part exchange. Speak to our team if you’re unsure whether your vehicle is eligible.

• Will you buy my car if it's damaged?

  In many cases, yes. Just be sure to provide clear photos and accurate details when submitting your valuation request.

• Can I sell a private registration with my vehicle?

  If you’d like to keep your private registration, you’ll need to arrange for it to be removed before completing the sale.

• Will my valuation change if I visit in person?

  The price will only need reviewing if the vehicle’s condition differs from the information provided online.

• How long is my valuation valid for?

  Your valuation will be valid for 7 days.

• Is my valuation guaranteed?

  Yes, provided the vehicle’s condition matches the details and photographs submitted during the valuation process.*

• Can someone else sell the vehicle on my behalf?

  The registered keeper or legal owner will need to be involved in the transaction. If special circumstances apply, please speak with our team.

• Do I need to bring my vehicle to a dealership?

  Not necessarily. Depending on your location, we may be able to arrange collection from your home.*

• Does my car need to have a full service history?

  No. A full service history can help support the value of your vehicle, but it’s not essential.
